What does life after COVID-19 look like from a marketing perspective? Let’s talk about it and let’s talk about it now.
COVID-19 has changed the way the world does business. Most notably the amount of face time that we’re going to have in the future is going to go down substantially. Whether we go to a fully distance world, or some kind of hybrid model to where we have face time but we also have distance like video conferencing, is yet to be seen. But the reality it is that we certainly are going to have less physical face-to-face contact with our clients and our customers. So, what does this mean for a marketing perspective?
Well, when you think about storytelling and the importance of storytelling in business you now have fewer opportunities and how you’re going to sell those stories. Therefore, you need to figure out how you’re going to tell that story when you can’t meet with people face-to-face as often as you did before. Therefore, the obvious next step is more online marketing period we know that online marketing has been an important part of most businesses’ arsenal in the last year’s but it’s becoming even more important. The importance of social media and the rise of Facebook, LinkedIn as coronavirus and COVID-19 have really taken hold of our society has improved our ability to tell those stories. So how you’re creating videos; how you’re creating that online content to help tell your story to help sell your brand is even more and more important. So, you need to think about what that strategy is moving forward, and you definitely need a strategy. Putting content out there without a goal doesn’t accomplish anything, don’t equate activity with productivity.
