Marketing & Business Ideas During Coronavirus & COVID-19


The Corona virus is impacting small businesses and small business owners, but there are things that you can do to work on your business during these difficult times, we’re going to talk about them right now.

One of the first things that you should be doing is offering video conferencing because face-to-face meetings are not possible because of social distancing, videoconferencing is the next best way of continuing to do business. You can work with clients, perspective clients, all remotely, all safely and it’s great way of continuing to do business during these more difficult times. And it’s really easy to do, all you need is a webcam and account like Zoom or WebEx, you’re up and running quickly and inexpensively. But don’t stop there. You got to let people know that you offer this put a pop-up window on your website, let people know via social media, your clients, contacts, they all want to know about these things so they can still refer business with you and do business with you during these tough times.

One of the next things you could be doing is planning. The biggest obstacle or one of the biggest obstacles that most small business owners have is they spend too much time working in their business and not on their business and one of the ways that you can plan is by creating a prospect list. There’s a lot of tools out there to do that such as Sales Genie and Go Leads. By creating that prospect list, you now have a list of people that you’re going to target one thing start to speed up hopefully very soon. And don’t forget to use LinkedIn to get those warm introductions with those prospects find out who you know, and who knows who you want to meet so you can actually get those introductions to make more profitability and more business for you in the future.

The next thing you should be doing is planting seeds for the future things like search engine optimization or SEO, social media, these things are great marketing techniques, but they take time to work. By planting seeds, today, you’re positioning yourself to be more successful in the future. They say the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The next best time is today plant trees plant seeds so you can be successful in the future.

Finally start contacting people, call your clients, call your referral sources and centers of influence your friends the people in your contact list. Remind them that they are a part of your life and you’re a part of their life. The world is still social and people do business with people that they know, like and trust you want to be positioned to when things do pick back up that you are able to get those referrals and continue those relationships.

These are unprecedented times not all of these ideas are going to be right for your business. But the point is work on your business during the downtime. Use it as an opportunity to be more successful moving forward.
