Four Marketing Ideas for During COVID-19

Transcript:

Hello everybody. I’m Jeff with Flying Chimp and today we’re going to talk about four ways that you can take advantage of the Covid lockdown from a marketing perspective. We’re going to talk about it right now.

The first thing you can be doing is improving your SEO. SEO stands for search engine optimization. Basically, it’s getting the top of Google without paying Google. It’s also known as organic listings. Well, SEO takes time for it to work, so the downturn — the slowdown in the economy — is a great opportunity to work on your SEO to position yourself to be more effective when things do pick up, and they will pick up. SEO is a great way of accomplishing that.

The next thing you can be thinking about is improving social media; specifically using social media ads. Facebook has a lot of great tools out there for advertisers and marketers to target anybody you want to target. But you may not want to even do that much by yourself. You can simply boost posts five posts that are relevant that people really engage by and increase their reach by paying a few dollars you can spend as little as five or ten dollars and really increase your visibility. It’s a great way of increasing mind share and market share for when things do pick back up.

The next thing to think about is adding eCommerce to your website if you have product or service that can be productized, e-commerce is a great way of selling it. It takes a little bit of time to do it either you do it yourself using a site like Shopify product like your bring out a professional to do a really high-end job to offer as much customization as you want either way eCommerce is a great use of your time during the Covid-19 slow down.

Finally think outside the box. I love it when businesses are thinking outside the box from a marketing perspective, especially at times like this. I know of a couple of restaurants That are selling raw food uncooked food as well as grocery items they have access to provide a few extra dollars for during the slower time other restaurants are doing virtual happy hours to connect with their regular customers. So when they come back their regular customers feel even more connected to what was going on professional firms are offering webinars.

There’s a lot of ways of improving your presence and your business during these difficult times. If you want some ideas on how to do that we’d love to chat with you till next time. I’m Jeff with Flying Chimp remember be safe, be kind, pass the hat, help other local businesses, and I’ll see you next time.
