Transcript

What is normal and what does returning to normal actually mean? What does life after COVID-19 look like for your business? What planning are you doing to ensure that your business is going to succeed post COVID-19? Lets talk about that, let’s talk about it now.

A lot of people talking about the new normal. Some people are talking about the new abnormal. What does that mean? What does it mean for business?

Well, I would say it depends upon your business about what that’s going mean and what you’re going to do. If the new normal means fewer people congregating out in public what does that mean for your particular business. Realistically, if you a brick and mortar store retail store, or restaurant, or some other location that requires people in physical proximity, what it is you’re doing what precautions are you taking to ensure their safety. What additional pivots are you making to ensure that your business can handle fewer physical foot traffic while still maintaining same volume that you did before? Well, that means offering different ideas different solutions continue to offer curbside solutions to long-term problems.

If you are a business that doesn’t require physical foot traffic, then you haven’t been as effective as significantly as those who do, but you have been affected. You need to figure out how you’re going to help those clients and those customers who have been affected. If you have clients in the hospitality industry, how are you helping them get through this new normal. Regardless of your business type, whether you require physical presence or not, you have been affected and you need to change your marketing message. You need to pivot your message to deal with the new normal — to accept the new abnormal.

If you’d like ideas on how you can do that we’d love to help. Till next time I’m Jeff with Flying Chimp. Remember, be safe, be kind, #passthehat and help local businesses that have been affected by COVID-19 and I’ll see you next time.
