Hi everybody, today I want to talk about being a part of the community and what you can be doing to do your part during these difficult times. I’m going to talk about it right now.
The first and most important thing you can doing is listening to the healthcare experts like the CDC, and the World Health Organization. Their goal is to keep you safe, keep your family safe, keep us as a community safe. The idea of social distancing is going to help flatten the curve but there are other things we can be doing to help our local community.
The next thing you can be doing is supporting small businesses. Small and local businesses will be some of the hardest hit from a financial perspective and being part of the community means helping them out during these difficult times. Examples, get takeout from a local restaurant that you love that you want see get through this. Being part of the community means doing your part and thinking more than just yourself so everybody can get through this.
Finally, don’t panic. It’s a quote from one of my favorite books growing up and I think it’s meaningful and relevant today. We’re going to get through this and we’re going to be stronger for it. If you look at what happened after 9/11, we all banded together and we came out stronger on the other end. Being part of the community means being strong for one another. Until next time, I’m Jeff with Flying Chimp and I’ll see you again.
